Communication With Older Patients With Cancer Using Geriatric Assessment A Cluster-Randomized Clinical Trial From the National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program
Description of Dataset:
This dataset contains information about longitudinal outcomes measured at T1 = Baseline, T1.1 = Telephone call after baseline,
T2 = 4-6 weeks, T3 = 3 months, and T4 = 6 months. It provides information in two main areas:
1) Patients’ (measured at T1.1, T2, T3, T4) and caregivers’ (measured at T2, T3, T4) satisfaction with communication about
age-related concerns (ptHCCQage, cgHCCQage) and overall care (ptHCCQoverall), displayed in Figure 2 and outlined in the
paragraphs “Patient Satisfaction With Communication” and “Caregiver Satisfaction With Communication”. Satisfaction was
measured by Modified Health Care Climate Questionnaire (HCCQ) total scores.
2) Information about patients’ (ptFactgTotalScore) and caregivers' (cgSF12TotalScore) health related quality of life (HRQoL)
measured at T1, T2, T3, T4. Patients' HRQoL was measured by Functional Assessment of Cancer General (FACT-G) total score.
Caregivers' HRQoL was measured by 12-Item Short Form Survey (SF-12) total score.
